It is swap week around here! So, here is my progress for the Doll Quilt Swap 10 {hereafter: DSQ10}. I embroidered the dress from Fig Tree & Co.'s Madeline pattern {which I hope to make for a little girl someday} on a bit of cream fabric {I've added a couple details since finishing, but I am keeping those a secret for now. I used mostly pinks, reds, and yellows because it goes with this fabric I previously showed you:
And this fabric I purchased to go with it:
My plan is to frame the embroidery with a small border, then to do a frame of pinwheels or windmills around that {which do you prefer?}. Many of the quilts in the swap are much more modern, but I feel hopeful that my partner likes patchwork and will enjoy this color scheme too. Now I've just got to cut into those lovely fabrics!
This is wonderful! The embroidery is gorgeous. And I just love the last little stack of fabrics. Delish!

ReplyDeleteThe embroidery is lovely and will look quite nice with your fabric choices. I adore pinwheels.
ReplyDeleteThat is incredible. I don't know how you have the patience to do such intricate work, but it is absolutely gorgeous!!!
