Think Spring (& Giveaway)

It's been beautiful in Virginia the last few days, and we're starting to feel like spring might arrive soon after all {I know a lot of people are still in the throws of winter...I was in northern New York last winter and completely understand!}. As seasons change so do clothes and handbags, so we thought we'd help someone with the transition.


We're giving away a Brooklyn bag sewing pattern today, along with a Fandango {by Kate Spain for Moda} charm pack and yardage {the print is shown, but I just ordered it today!} to help you make it!


To enter all you need to do is leave a comment and let us know what you're most looking forward to this spring. Here's an example:

I'm most looking forward to spending more time outside with my little boy. I cannot wait to see him run around the yard and really explore the outdoors on his own for the first time!

    i am really looking forward to a morning jog. would love to get more active. and i miss the afternoon walks with the kids around the ponds...and so so so looking forward to being done with winter coats!!

    Light mornings, waking up hearing the birds singing, sunshine and warmth, hanging my washing outside to dry oh there are so many things I look forward to. Being able to have the back door open all the time so the dogs can come and go as they please without me having to get up to open the door for them!!! Thanks for the chance to win.

    My two year old is a much more confident walker now than she was last Spring and my almost one year old is getting her land legs as well! After this rough winter I can not *wait* to get some more time outdoors with them! I also love with the lilacs bloom!

    What I'm looking forward to most for the spring?!?! Sitting on the back deck while my kids eat their after school snack sitting all around me! We can laze around there for hours and eventually have a pile of cushions and blankets and books and giggles shared! It's my favourite!

    I am looking forward to spring - although it's another 6 or so months away for us yet! I'm looking forawrd to the crisp clear morning to walk the children to school, and the new growth in my fruit and vege garden.     I love that my daughter was born on the first day of spring! There's nothing more beautiful that having new life in your arms...and that was a memory that I'll obviously cherish forever!

    I LOVE Fandango! I'm looking forward to spring mostly because it brings Spring Break! I will get an entire week off school! I think we teachers are more excited for it than the kiddos we teach! :)

    I love to be outdoors - even in winter, just not too long. With spring I enjoy walking my dog around the neighborhood and seeing all the signs of spring, the birds nesting, the plants putting out new growth - just the daily changes that occur as MN wakes up from a long winters nap.

    What I'm most looking forward about spring is being able to open up my windows and let the fresh sweet smell in. And being able to hang my sheets on the line.....I LOVE sleeping on sheets after they've been hanging outside to dry.

    Morning all, I am really looking forward to "the sun", its heat beating down on the newly tilled soil. I love spring and being rejuvenated, after a long winter in Maine, by spurts of growth from all around me.. Gardening and sewing (creating with fiber), creating something new and nurturing it until it blossoms...THINK SPRING!!!!!

    I have always loved Spring. I enjoy seeing the bright colors popping up among the dreary winter colors. When the Easter lilies start showing up is a favorite time of mine.

    I'm in VA, too (Lexington) and I enjoyed going for a walk outside yesterday, but this morning is FRIGID! I am thinking spring as hard as I can. I am looking forward to less hassle getting my kids out the door in the morning, as there won't be hats, gloves, coats to locate and put on. I'm also looking forward to spending more time on my porch, reading, stitching, or just taking in the gloriousness of the Shenandoah Valley.

    I'm looking forward to working in my garden; though we do not have snow where I live, the cold days make me want to stay inside but I have some planting to do as soon as days become warmer. Here's a funny coincidence: I live in Portugal in a region called Ribatejo, which typical music is called Fandango! :)

    My daughter would flip for this bag with this fabric! Spring brings the aboundance of flowers. Flowering trees, flowering beds that offer splendour to the yards and as cuttings in the house.

    I love taking long walks during Springtime with my doggie friend, Rusty. I love seeing the flowerinig trees, the sprouting flowers and the birds. Absolutely love the pattern and Fandango fabric.     Oh, I am so looking forward to the change of seasons when I first begin to see the crocuses (sp? :) ) come up, the weeds by the side of the roads, even the skunk cabbage on one of my favorite country roads.

    Hi,
    I'm really looking forward to spring and seeing the ground again!Right now we have about 3 feet of snow over the dirt. I'm a semi-professional gardener and love being outdoors. Can't wait to plant up some flower pots and grow some zinnias. I'm also training for the Avon 2-day walk in May and 8ft high snowbanks aren't conducive to outdoor training.

    Silas reminds me of my little grandson who is 9 months old. What a cutie.
