Update: The pattern is now available here.
I've been wanting to post a photo of this bag for quite a while, but just hadn't gotten around to it. Isn't it lovely? This was my birthday gift from my mom {she made it for me!}. I had been chattering about a bag with subway tiles for a long time, and she turned it into a reality. I took it to Washington with us and it was the perfect size. I had planned to switch back to a smaller bag, but can't be parted from this one now. We're just working on a couple modifications, and a pattern should be available soon.
One other thing, this bag doesn't have a name, any suggestions?
What about something having to do with subways or Washington? I know that Washington DC has a Metro system, what about that? I don't know, though. That bag is too pretty for that name. Well, I don't think I was too helpful, but it sure is a gorgeous bag. Awesome of your mom to make it for you!
ReplyDeleteThe first thing that comes to my mind is Macy (for the store) or 5th Avenue. It reminds me of our awesome trip to NYC years ago. And its super cute!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking subways/DC too, but the bag is too colorful for that :) Actually "Waterville" is not a bad name.... Maybe something to do with travel or movement, as well as spring/summer. If all else fails, I think the Clara bag would do nicely :)

Hi Jennie! That bag is adorable and I love how you used subway tiles as inspiration. So cute! Thanks for visiting and for your comment!
