Finally!
The "Cute-as-a-Button Booties" {from Handmade Beginnings by Anna Maria Horner} are finished. I'm not sure if I'm just not cut out to make shoes {I've tried before and was unhappy with the result}, or if the fact that the pattern is just not the way I usually make things, was my problem. But either way, these booties were much harder than they should have been. And they're a little on the large size...but they still turned out cute and will serve their purpose.
I am actually tempted to make another pair, and try doing things a little different, to see if I get a better result...we'll see.
Also, I wanted to thank everyone for your kind comments on the new blog design. I am actually having a giveaway for a free blog makeover at click. snap. swoosh. laugh. So, head over and leave a comment if your blog is in need of a little spiffying!

You read my mind - yes, my blog needs a makeover!!Those bootees are cute as can be. I made a few when Audrey was little, but I never saw her wear them, so I don't know if it was the fit or something else.
ReplyDeleteDarling fabrics, cute booties, sweet feet.
ReplyDeleteCute booties--a great idea. Too bad they were such a fuss to make!
ReplyDeleteThe booties are adorable.....thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI've never attempted making booties...outside of crochet, but that was challenging too. =)
ReplyDeleteYours are adorable...and hats off to Mama! =)
I can only imagine how difficult they are to make...look how tiny they are!!!
ReplyDeleteThose booties are so cute! I am impressed with anyone who can sew curves that well. :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog is looking great! I love the colors. Easy on the eyes but attractive too.
Love the booties. My daughter is expecting so maybe we need this book to make some. One of the things I would like to learn is how to make a blog header that has a collage of photos across the top. I am so computer challenged apparently, that I cannot even successfully complete the collage for the fat quarter bundle contest that's going on. I finally gave up on it. :(
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest! I wish I had some young ones or knew some that were having children to try it out. They are unique and adorable. Would love to hear the results of you do try to make another pair.
ReplyDeleteCUTE!!! Yes, make another pair. They are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI think they are adorable!! They look sweet as can be to me, and a little big is better than too small. :-)
ReplyDeleteCan you make me a pair? I promise I'd love 'em (and wear 'em) to death!
