Getting Started

I've finally gotten a start on my Hoop Up! Stitch & Send Swap inspiration piece.  I've decided to do a trio of coordinating mini quilts for Norah's bedroom.  According to the swap rules, I need to create one inspiration piece and then send two more pieces, one to each of my partners, and they will create an embroidery and send them back to me.  So, here's my inspiration block:

Getting Started

I'm thinking I'll use similar fabrics, but do the other blocks with slightly different colors and a different pattern. I'm thinking half-square triangles for one and maybe little squares for the other with the combinations red & aqua and red & pink to tie all three together.  I'm thinking little girl dresses, matryoshka dolls, flowers, teapots, cupcakes, birdies and the like, basically everything girly.

Now to decide which of those things to embroider on this piece...

  1. Very pretty colors and whatever you stitch inside will be sweet -- I'm partial to tea pots. :o)

To be able to spend time together as mother and daughter is wonderful.
Especially when you can both do something you enjoy.
    Your quilt is just lovely!
