For now, they can be side by side on my sewing table and when I have added more thread I will be able to stack the units.

Storing floss
What I really like about this storage is that each color can be separated into it's own drawer, the thread is visible through the front for easy selecting, and the drawer units are stacking or side by side. Oh, and I can't leave out the fact that they are very inexpensive....these were purchased at Target for $7.99 each.
I also think they look so pretty in these drawers. After all, aren't they for making some really pretty things even prettier?
Didn't Jennie do a fabulous job on our new header for our blog? I think it's really sweet. Here are some flowers for you to enjoy, I am, thank you sweet hubby! Thank you for stopping by and visiting and we love your comments.

The blog header looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove the new header! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteThe header is wonderful...such gentle colors. And even the pics of the storage boxes arre beautiful with those gorgeous threads! And of course the flowers blend right in! Very attractive!
ReplyDeleteI find myself relishing the colour range each season brings but despite still being in winter your beautiful spring shades are calling out to me.
ReplyDeleteYour header is lovely.
Stephanie
The tulips are beautiful and they even match your fabulous new header! Your coffee mug is pretty cute too, with MO2 in the background! Great post!
ReplyDeleteI like that way to store your thread so you can see it and admire the beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteOh those tulips are so pretty.
Lovely job on the blog!
ReplyDeleteI don't have thread like that...but I love your idea to store it...and the tulips are beautiful! =)
De-lurking to say the color just brightened my dreary day (cute header, too!) And those tulips... so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe thread storage drawers are such a good idea! And the tulips are beautiful....I can never see enough spring flowers, I love them!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week.

Where do you buy your thread? I can't seem to find the size 8 (other than white and black) anywhere local. Do you order it? If so, how do can you tell if you are getting the right color?
ReplyDeleteLove the new header. I store all my floss and thread in these types of drawers - they are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove the storage. I have some of those that I use for other craft things. And one is for my daughter's craft stuff. She likes to craft when I do (she's 3). And Jennie did do a great job on the header--love the pups! She is really talented and very sweet, too.
ReplyDeleteOh the new header is perfect! So simple and sweet! I love the storage too. I think you have inspired something for me. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThey do look pretty.....love the flowers...such deep purple..gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOH I love the new header--it's fabulous! I wish I knew how to do that type of thing because my blog needs a makeover pretty bad. Some day!!
ReplyDeletePerfect storage! hey, did you catch the Quilt Taffy post about using Presencia Finca Perle Cotton No. 12 in the sewing machine? I can't tell what weight thread you have there, but here's a link to the post in case you're interested:

Love those threads, nice storage. We don't have Target here in Canada (yet) but it's coming soon. For me, Target + Saturday Night Live go hand in hand, that my only experience with the department store.
ReplyDeleteI like this idea and am thinking of getting something like it (although we don't have Target in the UK so I'll have to try other places). You didn't say how many balls of pearl cotton you can fit in each drawer??
ReplyDeleteElizabeth,
DeleteThank you for stopping by! I can fit 10 to 12 in each drawer!
