Garden Steps :: Block Twelve

Questions? Missed a post? Find the index here.

It seems that stitching is a little slow around here these days.  So, my mom and I decided that we'd just release the last block, even though we haven't finished stitching it yet.

We decided to do a quilt label block would be a fun addition to the front of this quilt.  I've labeled mine for finish in October {if I stitch it, then I've got to do it, right?}, but the PDF has a second page with all the months and two years printed on it, that way the date is up to you.

Download the PDF pattern here.

And here's a picture of my progress:

I think I'm going to add some flowers to my letters, kind of like on my Bedside Basket, and just make it up as I go.

In two weeks I'll put up a linky for completed quilt tops, and you'll have a month or so to add yours!  Hope everyone has enjoyed stitching along with us!

Don't forget to show and tell in our Flickr Group! Did you blog about the quilt along? Share your post here {please link to a specific post or Flickr photo}:

  1. I got a very late start on this but I have all the fabric and supplies, just need to start when all my other projects are close to done.

    Thank you for the great QAL!

  2. Okay, your quilt blocks are always cute. You know what? I'd LOVe to do one of those autograph quilts...and do a small block every two weeks or once a month...something like that...I could manage that easily :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

  3. I don't have a way to show you but I did did your last quilt and have started this years. Always a pleasure to do. I see a Keeper behind block 12. Do you have a pattern for it? I have been looking for something like this for smaller embroidery bits I can grab as I go out the door.

  4. Love the blocks - have all the patterns and have yet to start (life got in the way this year) but look forward to getting into some new fabric soon.

    I see a great take-along sewing kit in the background - is there a pattern for this? It would be perfect to take on my holiday...and I even may have time to whip it up before we go.... :)

  5. Hey Jennie,
    I was wondering if you could email me #12 block. I tried to get it and for some reason google docs. is not working right. I tried a different browser too and I still can't get it. thanks.
