One of my biggest regrets when designing the Embroidery 101 blocks was that I did not include a neutral in the kits! Every block that came up, I wanted to put a tree in it...but didn't have any brown!
So, I couldn't wait to add a tree to this embroidery series. And then, a few flowers and some butterflies really complete the look. I've debated adding some little blossoms to the tree, and maybe a few french knots to the flowers too...we'll see. But, as I'm already a little late, I thought I'd post it finished, and maybe go back some time later!
Download Block Two here.
The tree leaves and the flowers are lazy daisy, the tree trunk is split stitch, the knots, butterfly wings, and grass are back stitch, and the butterfly bodies are satin stitch.
