1. When you look at your stash, is there one color that dominates it? I think pink.
2. If you didn't quilt, what other artsy/crafty pursuit would you follow? Crafts with a glue gun!
3. If you could hire a maid to clean only one part of your house, what would it be? The bathrooms, of course.
4. If you do/did work a 9-5 job, what is it/would it be? Either at a quilt shop or a garden shop.
5. What is the oldest item of clothing that you continue to wear? My cardigan that Jennie chose for me, she has the best taste!
6. What is your dream vacation spot? I would love to go on a river cruise with my husband, also we are thinking about a trip to Hawaii, I've never been. I am currently dreaming of another trip to see Jennie and her little ones.
7. What does your sewing space look like right now {optional: post a picture!}? Well it is in pretty good shape, because all the unfolded fabric is stacked all over my bedroom floor. We just painted two rooms and I swapped my sewing room with the former office. My new room is brighter and a teeny tiny bit bigger. They are both spare bedrooms so not large, but I am happy.
8. If you could change your first name, what would you choose? I might choose to be called Claire, instead of Clara, but I kind of like my name it is not that common, although I didn't like it growing up.
9. If I visited your hometown, where would you take me? Probably to the quilt shops and the garden centers, my very favorite places to be! Also, we go on a canal walk at least 3-5 times a week, it is great.
10. How did you get started quilting? I started when my second daughter, Rachel had her first little baby boy three years ago, I made him a quilt. I have sewn for years but not really quilted until then, now I am truly addicted to it.
11. What is your go-to dinner {share the recipe if so inclined!}? Chicken soup, the recipe is from Susan Branch, she had it on her blog this winter. It is delicious, and to think I had never made soup before, now I make it all the time. The second meal would be my mom's taco salad. I think I will be looking for a new go-to dinner since the weather has warmed up so much. We have been having beautiful weather here.
Thanks Jennie for the questions. This was fun!! I haven't been blogging lately, first I was sick for about a week, then my computer crashed! Not so fun, either one. We got a new computer and then decided to swap rooms and did some painting. Now two weeks later we have finished both rooms. So I am ready to be back to blogging, I have really missed it. Reading blogs regularly and also writing.
I have been doing a little gardening and will put some pictures up soon of some of my new flowers. Spring is my favorite time of the year.
Have a great Tuesday!
