I received an e-mail the other day from a clothing company asking if I'd be interested in reviewing an article of their clothing. Well, my initial response was sure, I could use some new clothes, and theirs looked lovely.
But then I worried, maybe you readers are not interested in that sort of thing... So, I thought I'd ask you, if you would be so kind as to fill out this survey:
Edited to add: Do not worry, this will not become a review based blog! :)
You're welcome to leave comments too...what would you do?
Once in a while is fine, I was following a blog and they started doing only reviews so I stopped following them. But as long as there is a balance I say go for it!
ReplyDeletethis is your blog! you do what appeals to you and write about it. we're interested and if you get free, good looking clothes, we're happy for you. well, a bit green-eyed, you lucky gal. go for it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not huge into reviews, personally, but will read and follow whatever it is that you choose to write about. It is YOUR blog!
ReplyDeletei vote for no reviews but i love your blog and your style so will probably still read it:) do what feels right to you
ReplyDeleteHey...we all have to wear clothes...well most people wish I would! LOL
ReplyDeleteAs my mother always said, "Most things are fine in moderation."
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to have the opportunity! Go for it!
ReplyDeleteI have no problem with it at all. I hope it's something you like!
ReplyDeleteI don't tend to read review posts but it is your blog, so it's ultimately up to you.
ReplyDeleteIt would give you more exposure :)
ReplyDeleteI love finding out about new things and clothes are no exception. I say, do it. You may loose some but you may gain some too.
ReplyDeleteI would say go for it as long as there is a balance. I would advise that you only review things that you like a lot and would buy yourself. That way you are not pushing anything on to your readers your just telling them about a great find.
ReplyDeleteIt's your blog and you won't know if it's going to work out ok unless you try it. As long as it's easy for you to stop participating if you find it doesn't suit you. The reader poll was a nice thought though :D!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Robyn
Add my vote to the "most definitely" box. Your blog is your blog, not your professional business site. Blogs are meant to be friendly and personal! If you get a little treat from it, well, you deserve it! And don't forget, we can always delete and skip with the simple click of a key when a particular post does not interest us.
ReplyDeleteYou know what is funny. I usually trust a reviewer if I have seen a bad review of theirs! But I think you have a really cute style and I would be interested to know any kind of products you use. Clothes, cookware, baby stuff, etc. Go for it.
ReplyDeleteI think doing a series of like reviews is great, but I would limit reviews and recommendations to 2-4 times a month. (just my 2 cents)
I'm kind of a variety gal, but I dislike seeing or reading about items that are too expensive.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late on this one - I personally skip any posts like that. I got asked by a clothing company - Shabby Apple (I'm guessing it's the same one) to run a giveaway on my blog - but a US only giveaway. I'm English, living in England! I turned them down, I dont' think they'd ever even read my blog.
