Charming Baby Quilt

{Silas & Friend Tony Go for a Car Ride}

Have you ever wished you could make a cheap affordable quilt out of designer fabric?  Well, I've got a super easy one for you today.  You've seen peeks of these quilt before in my June and July Stash Projects, and here are a few directions to go along with them!  You will need:

1 Charm Pack (42 - 5" squares)
1/4 yard inner border
1/2 yard outer border
1 1/4 yard backing
1/3 yard binding

Arrange your Charm Squares into the desired order, six across and seven down, then sew them together.  I prefer to sew the short rows, pressing the seams in alternating directions on each row.  Then sew the rows together to create the quilt top.

Cut four 2 inch strips for the inner border.  Sew one strip to each side of the quilt, then one to the top and bottom.  Repeat for the larger boarder with 3 1/2 inch strips.

Your quilt top is finished!  Then layer your backing, batting, and top, quilt as desired, and bind with 2 1/2 inch strips.  Enjoy an easy way to make a special little quilt without breaking the bank for each new arrival!  At the rate my friends are having babies, I'm going to be making a lot of these!

Note:  This pattern is for personal use only, not for resale or commercial use.
