Stash Project: December

The year is almost up, and I did a pretty good job with my Stash Projects, I only missed one month!  As a result, I think I'm going to keep it up for the next year, and I'd love for some of you to join me {if you'd like}.  It really is a great way to work through that fabric that was oh-so-tempting in the quilt shop, but didn't really have a purpose.  I'm hoping to put together a few stash clearing tutorials {maybe one a month? if I can keep it together!} too.  Since I know we're moving {again} this summer, I'm hoping to use a good portion of the fabric I've got stashed away {besides, then I may just have to buy new to replace it!}.  Anyway, here is my project for this month, I bought the fabric on sale last Christmas, and finally used it!

I had planned some subway tile Christmas stockings when I bought the fabric, and it only took me a year to make them.  I've seen quilted stockings around online, but did my best to make mine unique {and there will be a pattern soon...if you're interested in getting an early start on next year - while the fabric is on sale}.  I purposely mismatched Silas' stocking {like I said before}, that way the future mismatched ones will match {hehe}.  I can't believe it's almost time to take the Christmas decorations down...I already cannot wait until next year!
