As of yesterday evening, spring is here! Spring is probably my favorite season, and it is even better this year as we've already had a day of weather in the 70s {even if there is a thunderstorm as I type this}. Waiting for spring in northern New York was torture because it didn't finally arrive until May. But in Virginia? I've already driven with my windows cracked, turned on the air conditioning, and haven't touched my coat in weeks.
I've also been doing a bit of springy sewing on my mom's spare sewing machine. Since we have such a nice setup at her house, she loaned me her other machine so I can still sew here, if I get a chance. I have to say, after doing some piecing on this one, I love my machine! I hadn't realized how smooth and quiet it was. However, when it comes to needing to sew, I will easily settle for the loaner {and it is a great starter machine!} Oh, and the fabric? It is progress on my DQS10, which I am hoping to finish this week. Do you have any special spring projects?
