Silas's speech has really taken off lately. He "talks" constantly, even if I have no idea what he's saying. However, he has mastered a few new words: baby {nay nay}, diaper {dider}, water {awer}. So, I thought it would be cute to get a photo of him telling me something. This afternoon, while I was unloading the dishwasher, he was in the kitchen with me telling me repeatedly that those are his diapers in the wash {yes, our washer and dryer are in the kitchen...strange, I know!}. Oh, and I love how I can see his little teeth in this photo too!
Now you definitely have to watch what you say around him. My boy already knows what boobies are, thanks to his dad... but I guess he will probably find that out sooner rather than later anyway, with his baby sister due soon. PS LOVE Sandra Boynton books!

ReplyDeleteIts only strange to have the washer and dryer in the kitchen if you live in the US. It is perfectly normal if you live overseas. From my understanding most houses have them in the kitchen "over there". Do you find it convenient?

ReplyDelete@Sara @ Sew Sweetness, I mostly use the pocket diapers for convenience, however, I am thinking of using fitteds and covers for the new baby while she's little.
ReplyDelete@Quilter in the Gap, I think I would find it more convenient if it wasn't so loud! Fortunately the kitchen has doors, so I close those while it's filling because otherwise I cannot hear myself think!
I grew up with a washer and dryer in the kitchen, so it's not too weird to me. I think it was pretty commonplace years back. That's cute that he is starting to talk!
