Little Boy Room
One of my first projects when arriving here was to get the little boy room in order. I know that moving is difficult for kids, so I figured getting his room straightened out was high priority. The walls were already that sage color, and we've decided to leave them. It is too much work to paint for only a couple of years, and I don't want to paint it back later either.
The throw pillow covers I've made since we arrived, they match the Flights of Fancy quilt that is the main inspiration for the decor. The other quilt at the foot of the bed is Hushabye by Tula Pink for Moda, and my mom made it for Silas. I am hoping to add some more art to the wall...but am still looking. Edit to add: I guess today was my lucky day, I just ordered this print with a Heartsy voucher {since one of you lovely readers used my referral code, I ended up only paying $12.99 - $7.99 for VIP and $5 for the voucher! Thanks so much!}.
Here's the crib...where he's still sleeping right now. But since he and the baby will share a room while we're here, we figured it was best to just put the bed and crib in there together. Also, you can find a few more details about the Floragraphix III quilt here.
And, if you didn't notice, I love Target...the comforter, lampshade, crib sheet, rug, and even trashcan are all Target... I intended to have a bit more aqua in the room, and maybe some yellow, but it seemed everything I wanted was available in lime. But there's still time. Plus, I'll be adding some red and pink too...once I start working on little girl stuff!
And the best part? The cute little boy that lives in the room. He loves to have his picture taken these days, so he was hopping in front of the camera while I was trying to photograph the room!

The pictures of Silas are my favorite, but I think his room is so cute and I can't wait to see it in person. The hugs from one little boy will be especially loved.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have a talent for design, love the green.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours. Great decorating. Cutie!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! It looks like a nice place to be.
ReplyDeleteLove the lime green as the dominant colour highlighted with blue. Sooo tired of seeing totally blue for boys and pink for girls bedrooms. Looking forward to seeing how the colour scheme develops with the reds and pinks :).
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Robyn
