Grannies

A little pincushion using 1 1/2" squares and a charm square for the back. So simple!

Here are the granny squares I have made so far, many more in the future. It's fun playing with different sizes, these are 2 1/2" squares using 3" squares for the setting triangles.  I used Trish's tutorial found here. I have never done this with a link, I  hope I did it right!

What are you sewing or stitching, I would love to hear about it?

  6. I love that you scaled down the granny square for a pin cushion. I'm betting this size would make for a lovely quilt, too. Of course, you'd be at it forever! :)

I'm not sewing anything right now, though I *should* be getting started on my brother's wedding quilt!

  12. Hi again. Thanks for the link to the tut. It looks like a great way to use up some of my scrappy stash. That has been my goal this year - to use lots of my stash. I'm working on an amazing floral and paisley appliqued and pieced quilt by Denise Sheehan called Graceful Rhapsody.

  13. Totally cute. The pattern looks similar to the zig zag quilt on making with the squares on point. I'll have to try this, this might be easier.
