I really went scrappy here! What do you think, I am wondering if the blocks and arrangements of fabric in each block is too different from each other to be in one quilt? I would appreciate your input!
The design solidifies the congruity, regardless of how many or how few fabrics you use. Additionally, any mix of fabrics over 20 is an instant "match." I love your cherry choices! This is going to be a beautiful quilt!
While the colors aren't the same and the patterns are scrappy, the overall color story is totally similar enough to go well together! All the colors are bright and clear, they look gorgeous!
Clara, This takes my breath away....I knew I would love yours the best. Im working on one made with Margurite fabrics. I can't wait to see yours all done.
Clara, this is beautiful - you have done an amazing job putting this together and it will be stunning with all the different bits of colour, it gives a feeling of comfort and home.....where not everything matches all the time. Love and hugs...
Hi Clara! All in one! These are wonderful!! I started my grannies all matchy-matchy and am now making them super scrappy...much better! I am putting mine all in the same quilt!
I like the blocks. They're light, bright and cheery...and you should arrange them however you like ;) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather ;)
I love it, but was wondering if you were going to add stips between the granny's or to just sew the white to white. I made 1 set of strips haven't even cut them out yet, or made the second set of strips.... I'm slow....it'a an easy peasy pattern. looks more complex than it is.
The blocks are beautiful! All of my granny blocks are different too - I like the scrappy look and I think yours will make a stunning quilt! I agree, the Kona Snow or White sashing will pull it all together!
The blocks ARE fantastic and they definitely go together beautifully. I can't wait to see the finished quilt. Thanks for finding my blog. I love what I've read here and will visit again soon! Mary
wow!!! Your blocks are gorgeous!!! They'll definitely work together - love the bright, cheery colors and the on point layout! Can't wait to see the finished quilt!
I still feel a big urge to make some granny blocks when I see them. They are on my to do list (which is VERY long and with so little time...). Yours a slamming gorgeous. This will be a fabulous quilt. Now I have to find that tutorial... I have it in my Bookmarks somewhere.... Granny blocks will be perfect for scraps. Love love LOVE scraps.
