A Boy and His Fabric
As I mentioned in my last post, we visited a couple quilt shops yesterday. Well, one might think that visiting a quilt shop with a 9-month-old is a little difficult, but quite the contrary. Apparently I have raised this boy well {so far} and he loves quilt shops! He gets so excited over fabric, was smiling, chatting, and just having a ball. He even picked some out. As I was walking by a row of fabric he started lunging and grabbing some blue bolts, it was Castle Peeps by Lizzy House for Andover {okay, I'm not gonna lie...he also had his eye on a pink bolt of Hunky Dory by Chez Moi for Moda}. Since I've been eyeing this fabric already, I bought the blue fat quarters and will use it to make him something {maybe a birthday banner for that fast-approaching first birthday?}.
His other pick of the day was precuts of Anna Maria Horner's new line, Innocent Crush. I hadn't even noticed these hanging on a rack when he leaned over and swiped one! You've probably noticed how much I adore precuts. It's like an appetizer of fabric, giving you a nice taste of each one in a line {and an excuse to buy some yardage too!}. I guess I should keep this little one fabric shopping...he finds good stuff!

That is so cute! Those are great fabrics, too. I love the castle one.
ReplyDeleteI love when my daughter picks out something we need for me. Takes all the pressure off me!
