Making a Comeback

I was kind of surprised to learn that a lot of people don't really like purples.  In fact, they can be hard to find in the new, youthful, fabric lines.  So, here are a few of the fabrics I've been eyeing, and I just love the uses of purple.  Above is Central Park by Kate Spain, I know, I know, I've been mentioning this one quite a bit; I'm just trying to finish up a few more projects before I start buying new fabric!

Next on the wishlist: Parisville by Tula Pink.  I just love the details she puts into fabric, and the colors on this line are amazing!

I've already stashed a bit of Love by Amy Butler.  I'm not sure why, but I hadn't really caught the Amy Butler fever before now, I know she's been designing beautiful fabrics before this line, I just haven't bought any.  But, once I saw this in a quilt shop, it was a must have {I'm looking forward to her next line too...it has a bit of purple tucked away as well!}.

And finally, Innocent Crush by Anna Maria Horner, I think everyone loves AMH...  As you know, I've already stashed some of this too.  I'm just trying to dream up a beautiful bag before hacking into this one.  Is there anything you look for in fabric {or anything else} that can be difficult to find?  Any purples you'd like to share that I may have missed?

{P.S. All images link to their sources - happy fabric shopping!}

  1. I ADORE purple...not just because I'm a February baby, either. Purple looks great on so many people, and in so many settings--I do a lot of costuming in purple, a lot of planting in purple, and an overwhelming lot of quilting in purple! Purple with green, purple with touches of teal, or deep red or orange or ruby...

    ...and you are very naughty. Now I've gone and fallen in hopeless love with some new fabric lines! Whatever shall I do??????

  2. Well I'm a February baby, too (see Dot above) but my favorite color is actually pink. However, I also like purple a lot! My daughter seems to like it, too. I love how there are so many shades of it. Certainly there are shades I don't like as much as others, but most of them are pretty!
