I Should Have Been Reading
...But, instead, I've spent many of my December evenings knitting this little neck scarf. I really love my blue coat, but none of my cute scarves matched it. I knew I needed a neutral/brown scarf, and I had some pretty yarn just sitting around, so I knit it up into this little cowel. It was super easy {just time consuming since I used DK weight yarn}. To make one yourself you need:
2 Skeins Debbie Bliss cashmerino dk
Size 6 {4.25mm} 29" circular knitting needle
Large eye needle to weave in ends
Cast on enough stitches to knit in the round on the 29" needles {I honestly did not count}. I cast on a little tight because it usually loosens up after a few rows. Then begin knit, purl, knit, purl all the way around {if necessary, pick up one stitch at the end for a seamless scarf}. Before connecting your circle make sure there is a twist in the stitches, this will make a twist in the scarf. Continue until the scarf is about 8" wide. Stich in your ends and your set. You could also make this out of any different weight of yarn, just adjust your needle size accordingly. Happy Knitting!
