Stitch & Quilt Along Fabric

Hello!  This is Clara blogging, and I've been busy working on my Stitch & Quilt Along blocks too.  I am using fat quarters from Heather Bailey's Pop Garden in Sugar Mallow colorway that I've had for a while and have been looking for the right project to use them for.  I've chosen a dozen fabrics and am planning to add a few extra blocks to my quilt {and I've switched a few of these fabrics out, but they're mostly the same}.

Threads

I picked out some lovely Finca Perle Cotton in size 8 to coordinate, don't they just look like candy?

Thread Color Numbers

Just in case you're interested, I've included the color numbers as well. I've already been constructing my blocks, so I will have photos of them soon.

  1. Im scared to start this project because I'm REALLY bad at embroidery. Maybe I will practice some of the stitches/patterns when they come out and then build my blocks when I feel a bit more confindent. Love your color choices, can't wait to see how they turn out!

  6. To those who say they don't have time, I will say that the blocks come together very quickly and then you only have to do one block a week. And really you could just do the embroidery part at your leisure. It would make a great car trip activity or one where you could do it in front of the TV with hubbie at night when you don't want to segregate yourself to the sewing room!

  7. The fabric and thread that you chose are beautiful! It reminds me of fruity summer, especially the raspberry and lime threads.
