Garden Steps :: Block Three

Questions? Missed a post? Find the index here.

I cannot believe we're at block three already!  I thought it was about time we had some big flowers in this quilt, since what is a garden without some big flowers?

However, embroidering with a sleepless baby is not going so well, but instead of making everyone wait until I finish my block, I thought I'd post the pattern along with a progress picture, then I'll update this post with my finished block as soon as it's done...Updated!

Download the pattern here.

I am using split stitch for the petals, back stitch and long and short stitch for the center, woven wheel for the little outer flowers, and french knots.

Enjoy!

  1. So cute. If I didn't have 100 other things to stitch I would soo be stitching these blocks. I am going to need to keep this in the back of my mind to stitch later. I love gardens and stitching, so perfect.
