Along the Way

I tend to be a don't-show-it-until-it's-finished kind of blogger...this is not because I think this blog should be some sort of show and tell parade, but rather because I also tend to be a work-on-the-same-project-for-a-year kind of sewist/quilter.

But, I've decided to change things up!  Since I am not super woman {far from it, actually!}, I cannot keep up posting several finished projects each week.  But, I enjoy chatting with all of you, so, instead I'm going to start showing you what I'm working on, my current project is:

I'm working with this cute stack for Sara's Purse Palooza, and you'll get to see the finished bag on June 19th.  I've cut up a bunch of 2 1/2" squares {I can't seem to make a non-patchwork bag!} and then I'm almost sure I'm going to cut into my DS Quilts for Joanns and some of my remaining Bliss by Bonnie & Camille for Moda...  More about Purse Palooza here:

Sew Sweetness

And, if you're into the techie sort of thing, I have a tutorial on watermarks on my other blog today!

How do you feel about unfinished projects?  Want to see every step of the way, or is that too much?  Okay, I meant, a few shots along the way...!

  1. Unfinished projects are cool. I don't need to see every step along the way, unless you are trying to show me how to do something. I love hearing what every one is up to.

  7. OH, I think it's cool when people post "progress pics" of their craft projects. A lot of my blogger friends do that, including myself...and I get just as much enjoyment and inspiration from that as I do the finished project. Oh, I'm going to check out the link on "watermarks"...I'm trying to learn more about that, to protect the photos I post on my blog :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

  8. Hi there

I'm pretty new to the world of sewing/quilting blogs, and I LOVE being able to see pics of the things that other people are working on. Keep 'em coming!

  9. I love to see the in progress photos because I am all about process. I like to see how something evolves from start to finish.

  10. I love seeing works in progress and show a lot of them on my own blog. My blog would be very sparse if I only showed finished projects.

  12. What fun...I adore these fabrics. Such a pretty photo with the yellow head pins. Have fun creating. But make sure you show us the finished results. xoxoxo

  13. I just love pictures of pins and fabric and sewing machines! So very cute. Can't wait to see the finished piece. I will have to check out the watermark post, it always seems so complicated to me as I'm not very tech savvy but I will try!

  15. You know what? I love reading WIP posts. I like to see the fabric the blogger has chosen, their ideas, their progress and then finally the finished item. Yet, I very rarely publish WIP posts myself. I'm going to start doing more of it, thanks!
