Stash Project: Honeycomb Quilt

Remember this fabric I posted forever ago?  And then this sneak peek of a quilt I gave you?  Well, I've finally gotten it finished and thought I'd share it.

This is probably my favorite quilt I've made so far.  I used a layer cake and some yardage that I had bought in hopes of making a different quilt, but this one sort of suggested itself.  I made it to go in my bedroom, even though it is not a bed sized quilt {maybe it's just me, but I don't usually make quilts that large}.

But, it's just been hanging out in the living room so far because it is the perfect size to cuddle up with on a cold winter evening {especially in a drafty house!}.

Stash Project: Honeycomb Quilt

I even have some more Simple Abundance stashed to make a few things to go with it.  I know I've said this before, but this has to be one of my favorite fabric lines.  And, it is really great to see some of those piles of fabric be transformed into something that I can look at daily {though, I never mind looking through fabric either}.

What have you been making out of your stash this month?  If you have a project you'd like to show us, please link up below and you'll be entered to win a five fat quarters from my stash {fabric to be determined} from my stash!  {Note: you must link to a specific blog post.  If your e-mail is not available from your blog, please leave it in a comment below so we can contact you if you win, details here.  If we cannot contact the winner we will immediately redraw.  You have until the link list closes on February 28, midnight, est. to enter.} We cannot wait to see what you've made!

Thanks for sharing your stash projects with us!

  1. Beautiful quilt. I love the fabric too. I no longer have a stash to make anything out of, as I gave it to the girl's home my neice works for. She used some of it to make the baby quilt for Jacob I posted a couple weeks ago. It's now time for me to build a new one. But, I did manage to cut a few pieces for my BOM yesterday, then diaper duty called. :-)
