17/52 :: Yogurt!

Sometimes I wonder where my baby has gone?  The other day he grabbed his spoon while I was feeding him yogurt, and started feeding himself.  Now, since we live in a rental house, I had been hesitant to let him go crazy because I don't really want to be scrubbing stains out of my carpet at the last moment.  But, it turns out waiting worked out just fine, he has no problem feeding himself now {apparently}, and is a rather neat eater too!  Yay {and maybe a little tear because he's growing up too quickly}.

The Mommyhood Memos Bloggers for Birth KitsAlso, since this Sunday is Mother's Day, I wanted to post a little something I think is newsworthy.  While this isn't exactly a "mommy blog" {except the weekly photo posts!}, being a mom, I do follow several, one of whom Adriel is The Mommyhood Memos.  Right now she is organizing a donation of birth kits for women in Papua New Guinea.  So, click on the button to the left for more details and if you want to help out.  I know this is a little different from my usual post, but I wanted to pass it along.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there.  I am pretty sure my mom is the best, and I hope you feel the same about yours!

  1. I remember when my daughter started feeding herself. Every milestone is so bittersweet--I am so proud of everything she accomplishes, but at the same time, I am a little sad that she's not so little anymore.
